Creepy movie.
By the way, there's a guy named Manny Grossman who's doing a remarkable job of excavating the story surrounding the Son of Sam murders back in 1976-1977. Those of you who remember that time may recall that David Berkowitz hinted that he was just one of a larger group of people. Mr. Grossman is doing meticulous research on that larger group, its origins and history, names and addresses of some of its members, and other subsidiary crimes that led up to the shooting in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
He has interviewed — on camera — a detective who was involved in the apprehension of Berkowitz, people who were victimized by the organization of which Berkowitz was a part, people who knew victims of the group who are now deceased, and other interesting and disturbing details. He reveals all this while walking around Yonkers and other places in which the crimes actually were committed and in which the various players involved actually grew up. He shows (for example) the very close placement of Berkowitz's apartment and the house in which Sam Carr lived with his family, which included children who were involved with the group and at least of one of whom may have done one of the shootings.
He uncovers evidence that at least some of the shootings were filmed by members of the "cult" of which Berkowitz was a member.
Anyone who's interested can look up "Manny Grossman" on YT and find them. Some of them cut so close to the bone that I fear YT may take them down.
Anyway, the story being unearthed by Manny Grossman involves the power structure of Yonkers and elsewhere in NYC, including at least one child abusing Catholic priest, and other people who were adults at the time most members of the the Son of Sam group were children. The point is, the evidence he is discovering for real is far more disturbing than anything in any horror movie.
