I haven’t purchased Lay’s in can’t remember when. Store brand is cheaper and I dumped them back when I realized a potato costs 20 cents. One or two potatoes weigh the same as a bag of chips.

Save yourself $3 and don’t contribute to lefties by frying up your own potato chips.

Want BBQ or sour cream and onion or whatever flavored chips? There are countless powder recipes online using spices you probably already have on hand.

Want Doritos? Fry or bake corn tortillas at 4 cents/oz plus spice mix cost vs Doritos at 27 cents/oz.

I often made my kids home fried potato chips. The problem was it’s a slow process and the kids would eat them all up as fast as I could fry them. I always got the last batch but the rug rats would stare at me as I had my share.
