Always look for bags with lots of air. Fewer crushed chips. The chips are packed by weight. Depending on the destination, if there is too much air in the bag, they will burst going over mountain passes or to high altitudes.
I worked as a Frito Lay production supervisor for about 15 months 40 years ago. They don’t give a shit about their employees. They would shut down for Christmas, maybe for a shift on Thanksgiving. Easter, they didn’t give a shit about that.
It's always interesting opening things here in Albuquerque that were packed and sealed at sea level. My kitchen counters are almost exactly a mile up based on my GPS (5,280' at waist level out my front door).
