Of course, this is anecdotal, but probability indicates that I would likely know someone who had gotten sick after vaccination, if I had also known many who had gotten sick before the vaccine.
Also, if this is the same experience as many others, it's likely why people are very skeptical regarding any deaths from the vaccine.
Part of the story must include a reasonable mechanism by which these deaths occur. The more you know about virology and epidemiology, the more difficult it is to come up with a plausible theory. “How does it kill?” If there is an hypothesis for that then ask, “Why does it kill so few?” This has now been done with two conditions, VITT, vaccine induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia, and myocarditis, especially in teens. In both these conditions, I understand what is happening, and why it is rare.
