I believe the Chinese wanted fast cash pure and simple, and like the contaminated masks and PPE and test kits they sent out, didn’t give a hot potato about the rest of the world, counting on world dominance and ‘trade agreements’ to muzzle any criticism after the fact, smaller complainers swatted away.
