There's this other thing, called "putting the name of the state in brackets or parentheses" so that the folks reading the article don't have to go to a separate link, which is part of the reason why people go to FR in the first place. Also, MANY local newspapers bury the location, forcing you do look up the weather or advertisements to get a place name.

Just went to the link. No mention of the state, but the pics look like US rather than Ireland.
In the third to last paragraph, Dallas is mentioned, which might be helpful if there weren’t 13 other places named Dallas in the US….
