After all the work getting the recall on the ballot we are left with no excitable alternative to Gavin Newsom who has no business holding any office. It sounds like the higher-ups in the GOP have decided this is a lost cause and to hell with all the people who put in the time and effort into gathering signatures.
Perhaps Larry Elder can catch lightning in a bottle. Falconer has the big city resume. That's it. 58 days to go and no one is doing a damn thing. It's not that California is lost. Our people have just given up. That includes freepers.
What you fail to accept is that the higher ups in the GOP are all Assistant Democrats.
I’ll be voting yes on the recall, and checking the box tor Elder. How about you?
Whatever GOP person runs for governor can expect Antifa/BLM attacks on his home, business, and family, with the police doing absolutely nothing but protecting Antifa/BLM rioters.
Since the recall is going to be mail-in only, I don’t think Newsom is too worried.
When you read the resume of Newsom....his qualifications are basically that he’d make a fine restaurant owner, and not much more than that. His period as SF mayor? There’s nothing much there to note....other than he looked good in a suit and he married a trophy wife/local reporter.
He was supposed to be the guy coming into 2024, and likely up for Democrats top candidate for President.
Voting yes isn’t good enough. We need an alternative. I’ll vote for Elder.
Just remember It was an excitable Hollywood actor that was a good alternative-outside the box. Then there’s the blackouts and the $500/yr registration charges for V-8 engine trucks. All came together. What do we have here? A kamikaze attack for out of nowhere just b4 the recall? I don’t think so.

Unfortunately it is a corrupt sinking ship of communism. Republicans winning anything at that level in Ca again would be like saying that the citizens of China can vote out the Communist party control.

I thought it was sufficient to put the kibosh on, an ascendant, Newsom’s career. But then, criminality didn’t prevent Bubba from becoming President. I don’t know if it’s a “divine appointment” but for anyone who’s followed Larry Elder, lo these many years, he’s a brilliant choice!
As you probably know, many of Gavins political ambitions have been denied or postponed, for the good of the party.
He wanted to be Governor many years ago, but the “legendary” Jerry Brown wanted that position first, and had the clout to get the nomination.
Years later, Gavin wanted the Attorney General position, but guess who also wanted it? That’s right Ms Kamala Harris. She fit the PC image promoted at the time, and had support of well known San Francisco politicians, including the notorious Race Baiter-Motor Mouth, Willie Brown.
Taking out Newsom would be easier in a recall than in an election(November ‘22). Doesn’t mean it’s doable but what else is there going on out there? We can have an effect.
There are 5 million republicans in this state. 2 million signed the recall petition(including democrats). Then there’s the 80k signature gatherers ready to harvest. Tell me it’s not doable. County GOP offices have contact information. EVERY republican should be called when the ballots arrive and assistance offered. It starts with the signature gatherers getting their marching orders to harvest. I’ll offer rides to the post office after calling them. Assign me 10-20 possible voters and I’ll go to work on them. Multiply that times the 80k signature gatherers.
