Officer Ronald Kennedy attended a scene on Lenox Avenue and 125th Street in Harlem, where a man had been stabbed in the chest. Kennedy immediately asked someone nearby to get a bag of potato chips and then some tape, and fashioned a covering for the wound ahead of paramedics’ arrival.

“A tension pneumothorax, on the other hand, can be fatal. Here, air enters the chest outside the lung but does not escape. As more air accumulates inside the chest, but outside of the actual lung, it creates increased pressure within the thorax which interferes with both heart and uninjured lung function.”

Cops that are good with emergencies know how to move FAST.

One time when a fire started in the oven at a beach house that was far from any fire department, a cop who was there grabbed the baking soda that we didn’t even know we had, much less how to use it, and smothered the fire in, like, seconds.

Another time someone said she felt sick, and the car she was riding in was magically suddenly under a bridge with the door on her side open. It was like a film in which many frames had been removed.

They eventually put him in the medical center lobby because he was insta doctor.

Good to hear!
And hopefully, you never need to use it.

But for want of a nail...
