I like Mongolian music too; the native instruments, throat singing and overtone singing (that sounds almost like whistling, but is produced by the human voice!) But I personally prefer it in its natural state, without the Western influence. Never was a fan of metal, or whatever it is.

Anyway, here is one neat video to whet appetites (although one could argue Western influence in the one short clip of their unique take on “Jingle Bells”):
