Bob and I both have the Kindle Fire tablets. I really like mine a lot! Minus the fact I’m creeped out by the title Kindle Fire and a tablet that puts books on it.

It is, however, very hard to type on, even with a stylus pen. And it changes many a word lol. For example, if I post on FR at night, and sign my name, it changes Petey to Perry, all the time lol. I use my Kindle Fire at night, usually do a dumb crossword, and research stuff because my mind just won’t shut the heck up sometimes. Then I read my books that I have downloaded.

I got my son one for his birthday, he was a big reader or so I thought and he watches movies on his. I’m like.. “Son, read.” He’s like, “Mom, no.’ lol

Petey

(I know, Amazon!)

Amazon Fire tablets are fully functional tablets running Amazon’s variant of Android. They have full HD resolution, so same number of pixels as your old HD TV, but less than Samsung or Apple. The user interface has an Amazon slant, with their own web browser and the Amazon app suite (Shop, Prime Video, Amazon Music, Audible, and of course Kindle).

They are sold at one price if you’re will to accept Amazon advertising on your screen saver, and at a slightly higher price if you want it ad-free.

I use an old 8” Fire tablet for bathtub reading, including FR. If I should ever drop it in the water it won’t be a big deal.
