We don’t need experts who are qualified to advise PBOT staff, we need more inclusion of unrepresented persons who have been marginalized by white ‘experts’. Knowing things is overrated. If you have Brown or Black skin, or are a LGBTQ+, then you have special insight and feelings about things that white “experts” can never get. Hardesty is on to something here. Knowing things, like facts and engineering is completely irrelevant.

Her status is superior to that of any ‘white guy’, because she has lived experience as an oppressed group. Therefore, her views take precedence over those of a white man.
