yeah... i tend to agree... but it’s like damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.
There comes a point though, where Trump can no longer blame traitors when he has had more than enough time to weed them out and stop trusting them.

a) He believed the PR regarding certain people like Mad Dog Mattis. The Marines I've worked with fall into two categories regarding Mattis. They love him or hate him. The ones that hate him say he's all self-promotion all personal PR. I am now sure there were others whose "resumes" were all PR fantasy.
b) He thought in the bureaucracy he was dealing with professionals not partisans.
