Thanks Mom MD. Fact was I got tired of being sick and tired all the time.
My greatest joy was that I sobered up before my mother passed away. I really put her through hell.
Her father was a no good, wife beating drunk. My mother was an OR nurse and an OR nursing supervisor.
Sadly though it was soon after she retired that she began that ‘’long good night’’ into Alzheimer’s.
Miss her everyday.
I’m glad she got to see you sober. Hang on to Jesus and you will see her again - with no more sorrow or sadness to intervene
