When I was 16 I could buy an ounce or “lid” of Mexican ditch weed for $15. Two joints smoked and it was pleasant enough - like having a few beers. To get more potent stuff we’d score some hashish and that was about 2-3 times as strong. As time went on the potency kept increasing until by the time I was 26 two puffs and I’d be catatonic for 3 hours. It was no longer fun. I quit and haven’t touched it since. Now if I want to feel good I’ll take 50 or 100mg of Viagra!
I’m in roughly the same boat as you. Totally lost any desire to smoke that stuff now.
Some years back, I watched my nephew who at 14 was pretty much the all-American boy get ruined by pot. A now-grown man, he’s on disability for schizophrenia living with my wife’s sister. It’s not as harmless as many believe especially with today’s potency.
