RE: The Delta variant is here. It’s now responsible for the majority of COVID-19 infections in the United States and is driving a rapid rise in cases, not only in red states like Arkansas but in true blue New York
OK, some important questions:
1. How serious are most of these Covid infections from the Delta Variant?
2. Are hospitals in these states being burdened compared to the past flu seasons?
3. How many deaths so far and what were their ages and health conditions?
Just a fraction of a year ago. But that doesn’t matter.
What?...are you asking important questions? You will NEVER be a rich and famous reporter in the national media. Go learn how to pretend to be reporting important issues, while casually mentioning democommiecrat talking points.
Apparently pretty serious. Treatments have improved but people are still getting pretty sick from it.
2. Are hospitals in these states being burdened compared to the past flu seasons?
I can speak only for Missouri, but COVID hospitalizations in southwest Missouri are up 700% over May. It's bad enough that hospitals are full and respirators are in short supply.
3. How many deaths so far and what were their ages and health conditions?
Deaths haven't spiked like they did last year yet. But like I said treatments have approved over last year so that while deaths may be down by comparison there are still a lot of seriously ill people as a result of Delta.
