Well one thing coming out is that the audit found fewer ballots than the contractor claimed were there. So, then the question is did they exist and got destroyed, or did they never exist? If enough ballots are missing, the winner may not be able to be proved. In that case the election would need to be decertified, a writ of quo warranto could issue, the seat would be vacated and a new election would need to be held. Hopefully, the results can be determined.
