Another loser in an ENORMOUSLY long line of losers that Trump picked to fill key positions in his administration. While Trump had/has all the right policy instincts, he may be the worst administrator/manager to actually ever hold the office, at least in the modern era.
His political appointees were the worst appointees ever. You can probably count on one hand the people who were both competent and loyal that Trump selected. It’s remarkable, really, in the worst possible way.
Trump was also stymied by McConnell from being able to appoint many positions. While I agree that the fact he was not a DC insider and really didn’t have any idea what was motivating many appointees, he did have trouble from the very beginning getting people he could trust. He was sabotaged by his very own party who collaborated with democrats to sandbag every move he made.
