Two was that the private flight seems to have been paid for by a Lebanese hedge fund manager, which if true, makes it even more gamy. There is no way that fleeing from their jobs counts as a work expense. At best this was a gift tied to their employment. At worst it was a bribe. Both of those are taxable income. They better get a 1099 for the full retail value of a chartered jet and pay taxes on it or they should be arrested for tax fraud on April 16 next year.
