There is no return to normal ever.

Normal is an ever changing item. Just look at this country
from when it was first discovered in 1492 to where we are
today. Things change and will until each one of us is laid
to rest. That is life as we know it.
I understand what you are saying, but that’s not what I meant.
I meant there will be no return to individual freedom like there was before. One thing that was relatively the same was the freedom a person had, minus the slavery that was around for a bit, but I digress.
Your individual rights don’t matter because it’s for the greater good (then they pick whatever cause they want) and they will use that to keep crushing dissenters.
That’s what I mean when I say there is no return to normal.
