They need this so they can get a better monitor of how much support Trump/DeSantis have and who inside the DNC is leaking their emails (when that time again comes)
Whether it is “censored” texting or merely SNOOPED texting are you really willing to give the authoritarians a pass???
The goal of the left was to eliminate that pesky thing called “rights” as guaranteed by the Constitution. They knew they couldn’t just go ahead and do it. They’ve been working on eliminating it through the lie of “hate speech,” and have almost succeeded.
But the pace was not fast enough. They wanted it dead now. Then came the stupendous opportunity! Covid. Scare the life out of the people, and they would be able to do whatever they wanted to them. And so it was. They have used covid as the excuse to bring free speech to an end on the social media. They are planning to move to private text messages next.
Do not doubt for one minute that they have the capability to read them now. It’s just not very convenient. This proposal would give explicit permission to the service providers to read the juicy contents of text messages. (In other words, I believe they’re already doing it.) The excuse would be the vax, covid, masks, etc.
Any awake reader of FR knows it would not stop there. They would read the messages for information about any planned gathering (excuse: Jan 6.) by Republicans. (Don’t kid yourself. They’re already doing it.) They would search for information they would be able to use against Republicans. They would deliberately and intentionally ignore any planned bombing by the beard and burka crowd, or the blm/antifa thugs.
Not saying I ‘want’ to give them a pass. I don’t. But I’ll go one past it, and I’m sure you will strongly disagree, but I actually hope they do it. I honestly believe this will burn them.
Republican politicians are cowardly worms.
“This is a clear violation of the 1st and 4th Amendments.”
I suppose but where’s the proof that Zuckerberg did that. I neither doubt nor believe it. I just don’t know.
People will shrug once again. They are okay knowing that Google and Facebook snoop their mail.
This is the government itself encouraging the Fascist Left to snoop mail and prod behavior in the citizens.
Cuba is trying to “kill switch” the internet on the island to stifle the protests their.
Barack Obama already asked for a kill switch on the internet in the USA back in 2010.
And we have all seen “day long” outages at Facebook and twitter in the past and it didn’t affect the stock value in the long term.
Your post is the dumbest post I have read in a while, and I’ve read some pretty bad ones.
I got what you’re saying.
Kids love to mess with ‘The Man,’ so...................
No reason to think that. The totalitarian complex has been piling up one outrage against decency and insult to freedom after another, and haven't ceded any ground. There is no push back.
If you’re reading here that they might do it, they’re already doing it.
Bulwyf, I don’t know you so I wont question your intelligence, but I have noticed on the few occasions when people insult mine because of one of my posts, it’s because they didn’t understand what I was really communicating. It’s probably my fault for not making it obvious enough. I could really try to be more concise sometimes.
Republicans are worthless losers. A few stray from the ranch but mostly they swallow whatever poison that Democrats put out. A guy like Cornyn comes to mind. He’s the average GOP politician.
They will not control us.
And massive vote fraud would be too much. And forcing millions of businesses to shutter would be too much. And making people wear masks would be too much. And locking people in doors to “flatten the curve” would be too much.
The people are sheep and the democrats know it. Nothing will stop them.
