Common sense. Whether or not an election for POTUS represents the will of the People, it must be final. Congress gives it that finality. If Biden is 25 Amen-dementia’d, assassinated, dies in office, resigns or is impeached, Kamala becomes POTUS (Yikes!). If anything happens to her, NANSHY! Then it’s the SOS (literally and as an acronym). They would all have to die at once in order to get anyone even marginally competent in office, and he would still not be Trump. Best that can be done is to overthrow the entrenched local officials on school boards, zoning boards, town aldermen, governors, state legislatures, etc. They are the feet of the centipede of leftardism. Amputate them one by one, and you immobilize the Japanese horror movie-sized bug, which will still be quite deadly, but in November of 2022, at least possible to contain. Revolution would be more fun, but would end badly with a Chinese military takeover.
While finality is a very important goal, I can’t see why it has to be so inviolate that we can’t reverse the results of an election that is plainly stolen, especially if the injured party manages to pierce the wall of shields protecting the lie and proving the steal in court.
As a lawyer, I recall the heady days of 1L, when we spoke of truth and (and/or?) justice. I can think of no greater outrage to the rule of law and the very bedrock of the republic than brazen theft of elections. It simply doesn’t make sense to say, “Oh, well, we all know what happened, but gee, shucks, there just isn’t anything we can do about it”. Consciously accepting that view seems a shameful surrender to forces that have been trying to wreck the country and are getting damn near succeeding.
