I don’t by that. I don’t remember any cases around there of a mountain lion attacking a person. One time I read a mountain lion stalking a hiker in Sunol maybe. There are lots of deer up there.

We had a horse ranch in Alamo ... One late afternoon a mountain lion came down the trail, spooked the Morgan my sister was riding, and threw her off... I saw a mountain lion going after horses in the hill behind McDonald’s in Fremont at noontime in broad daylight...mountain lion attack in southern California...

There was a woman trail runner in SoCal caught and eaten by a lion a few years ago. A couple years ago a mountain biker in Washington was caught and eaten. It is rare, but does happen. Moving fast does trigger an attack instinct.
