Well, Barr's order wasn't illegal. The feds can and do cooperate with state officials and prioritize what they will do. But this was just plain stupid. Shapiro plainly was not going to investigate anything, and by turning over evidence and witness names, people were put at risk. Some times orders need to be questioned, or in this case, either publicly reported or forwarded to POTUS. Going over someone's head is sometimes required, even if it rocks the boat. Again, I question his judgment.
