When Long became governor, the politicians of Louisiana were mostly corrupt at the taxpayer’s expense. He turned the table on them. It cost him his life.
LA politicians were corrupt ? Uh, Long was corrupt. He just wanted to be the one calling the shots as a dictator. BTW, it’s quite possible one of Long’s own thugs killed him. Whether it was Dr. Weiss or not, we should be grateful that Long was stopped. He could’ve and probably would’ve been the man even worse than FDR had he made it to the White House.
