I remember when you could buy it in feed stores.
It came in little vials, it was used to anesthetize animals
for procedures like de-horning and such..
It seemed relatively safe.
It does cause what is known as emergence reactions in people as they recover from the anesthesia... scary, waking dreams.
wonder if that is what they gave me once- back in the 70’s- i had a real bad experience waking from anesthesia
Turned out I don't tolerate ketamine very well at all. I felt like hell afterwards and my nurse said I was talking and moving my arms during the procedure. I told my doc I never wanted to see that anesthesiologist or her damn ketamine again.
It may work for some but I had a bad reaction from it in the ER for heart problem and had them enter in my records NEVER to give it to me again. If they do I will sue them for everything.
