So, why don’t they just run the most optimum cycles for everyone?
Ooof.... no good short answer for that. Recently, there was talk of running tests with lower cycles on vaccinated and higher cycle tests on unvaccinated which could make it appear that the unvaccinated are contracting COVID at a higher rate but the cycle count is playing a factor there.
Also, when Uncle Sam started paying hospitals for COVID cases, it incentivized positive cases.
Some pro-vaxxer is now likely to come along and flame me for those comments so....LET'S GO!!!
In the US, the CDC changed the rules for cycles of the PCR test. Unvaccinated people get their sample run >40 times, while vaccinated are not allowed to be run more than 28 times.
Likewise, those who have been fully vaccinated and subsequently die with Covid are not reported as a Covid deaths as before - in order to reduce the apparent risk to the vaccinated and increase the statistics for the rest of us.
