They boil the frogs...slowly.

Infiltration, not invasion.

Subversion, not informed consent.

Lawfare, not gun battles.

Even those who know and accept the maxim that "Freedom is not free" typically don't really get it. It's not just about sending draftees off to war once or twice per century. It's not just about funding a military.

Freedom requires personal, diligent effort be put into knowing and understanding what's actually happening in the wider world. It requires "zero tolerance" of anything that's tyrannical, that violates individual rights, that threatens to enable or establish any illegitimate authority of any kind, no matter how "trivial" it seems.

If that means taking up arms, then we all, collectively, must be willing to do it. If that means boycotting multi-billion dollar companies, then we must collectively be willing to do it, no matter the inconvenience of sacrifice required. If that means homeschooling our children, then we must make that sacrifice, too. We have to be willing to do whatever it takes to comprehensively reject and veto anything and everything that threatens to weaken or infringe on the freedoms we all desire and deserve.

We haven't been like that. Not at all. And that's why we're having this conversation, now.

My father, an older man than some who were drafted... was drafted and within 4 weeks was on his way to Europe, ending up headed for the beaches of Normandy.
They were sent in ships and then boarded boats to the shore.. walking from the boats to the guns aimed at them from the hill to the right, where the Germany aimed to stop US soldiers from getting past them.
I saw a video of the young men on the boats there, headed to the shore .. they were quiet, heavy loaded with what they would need.. knowing they probably would not make it past those guns.. knowing there was a likelihood they would be killed. US was just trying to get enough on land to fight the war there... and many soldiers were going to be sacrificed.

My father was not the first load... but when he landed and went ashore... bodies were lying on the ground ... most dead but some alive and hurt... badly hurt.
Instructions for the men who just came ashore were to run, do not stop for anything... you cannot help a buddy or you will be shot... you get any guns you can grab if not needed by the body... but do not stop...

my father made it... he didn’t talk about the war for a very long time.. the young men today do not know the sacrifices made for their freedom to turn from the flag, to take a knee or to just hate America. if you told them, they would not care.. that is today’s youth who have gone off in the head that is supposed to think.

I do care and want to shake the living daylights out of the youth who think they know so much and know NOTHING.
