And our polite (not like Trump!) new leaders are following the ideas from some of the most brutal, murderous tyrants in history.

The “new way of thinking” is not new at all. Stupid, boorish and imperious tyrants have been pretty much the norm for governance of mankind ever since the dawn of what is termed “civilization”, and it is in only very recent historical times that the principles of a representative republic have been put into practice.

And now, folks that just cannot stand prosperity want us all to revert to this long-held belief that a small oligarchy holds the reins to all wisdom. At least, most of the time, they have put up someone who was charismatic and a little bit articulate, but this time, in a great show of overconfidence, the oligarchy has put forth a bumbling senescent old man almost like a creepy grandparent as a figurehead, and an insensitive, insincere and largely incompetent replacement when he fails altogether in this Kabuki theater production.

There is a lesson to be learned here somewhere, but it is being lost on so many people.
