Snake had a right to live it’s snake life somewhere outside of captivity . I don’t like snakes, but hate to see any wild animal abused and neglected.

When I lived on a golf course close to the Everglades, snakes would occasionally turn up on the course or even in the pool. We had a number to call for snake experts to come get it and release it back into the Glades. I guess too many live there now and are killing all the other small animals.

Since it was a reticulated python,a non-native species, releasing it into the wild would be wrong for a lot of reasons. There’s no way it was ever going to get to live outside of captivity. That doesn’t excuse the owner from abandoning it. He or she could have taken it to a local animal shelter where it would either be cared for or put down humanely.
