There is nothing to rationalize. Its perfectly legal to register as a Democrat to vote. Same as its legal to register as Republican. No one needs to be put to trial for registering to vote.

As I keep saying it’s not his registration as a Dem that is the primary issue here, it’s the other stuff on the emails. I myself registered as a Dem at 18, it wasn’t until midway thru the Clinton administration that I finally woke up. I have no problem with people who were previously Dems as I was once one myself.
