It would be interesting to go back and examine the personal political history of many of the people on here who seem to take great joy in bringing down someone like Tucker Carlson.

I wonder how many of them would stand up to the scrutiny if it were applied to themselves in earlier times in their lives.

I am not a huge fan of Tucker Carlson, though I have watched videos of him online a few times, since I don’t watch television and have never had cable. But I don’t care if he was once a Democrat or even a Leftist. I never cared for his delivery, but...if he publicly opposes things we think are evil, how can that be bad?

People can change.

They get “mugged”. They get out of college and collect their first real paycheck and see half of it gone. They have to raise a family and see their kids being taught Critical Race Theory or have drag queens show up in their 1st grader’s class.

Or they find out the government has been tapping into their phones, texts, and emails to spy on them.

Besides, who gives a rat’s ass if Tucker Carlson is only interested in his ratings. Who cares?

Many people on this forum would be just fine if there were no counterbalancing voices at all to those on the Left in the Media, and are just as happy as pigs in a filthy sty to take it on the chin and lose every cultural war and eventually the country. A lot of those people are the same ones who think conservatism will rise up, guns in hand, and storm the walls to take back the country by force.

Which is fine and good.

But why let it get to that point?

Tucker Carlson is a loud voice. He says the right things most of the time, and says them in a forceful manner. Without him, who at all (besides a very few like Trump) speaks out on any views to a wide audience that align with ours even remotely? Do those people really care about his motives for doing so? I doubt it. Those people out there just hear a countervailing voice.

I just have to shake my head sometimes.
