Medical knowledge percolates out to the community. Primary care physicians do not have the time & resources to filter all the new information that comes out. They wait until the information comes to them in seminars or presentations. Best estimate is 10 years from first glimpse until most primary care practitioners are using the information routinely. Remember much comes out that is later debunked. GPs wait until the dust settles.
