Back in 1987, I climbed Uluru. Beautiful view from the top.
Sounds like someone just watched a new movie on Amazon Prime...
;^)
I love that cultural icon, because truly... ask any regular guy on the street, and he can inform the experts the location of the Ark of the Covenant, without even having to think about it.
What's in those US Government warehouses: acronyms, and acronyms of acronyms, serial numbers.
This is going to get good.

Was this actually rock climbing or was there a circumferential trail?
Ironically, you can visit the Forbidden City.
it really is not an issue, as none of these places I have any desire to see
kinda defangs it right there
You can visit there, under certain circumstances (like probably being a high-level Mason).
Don’t forget ...The Capital
Oh go on. You know you want to wander around Chernobyl on a sunny day.

“Is there a list of Forbidden Places that I CAN visit?”
LOL
Illinois officials want you to visit Chicago. They need more targets.
You can’t visit something that doesn’t exist.
The first 300 feet or so is a steep grade but there is/was a post and chain hand rail you needed to grab to keep from falling off. After that, there was a marked trail that wort of did a switchback up to the top. I didn’t time it but it probably took about 30 to 45 minutes to get to the top, less going down if you didn’t stop. I got a couple of rocks from the top of the Rock as souvenirs.
I’ve been to one before it made the forbidden list. I’m sure I’ve been to quite few other places that are now off limits. Amazing what you could still do in the 60’s and 70’s compared to today.
