I prefer to interpret "well regulated" as meaning that all guns need to be cleaned and maintained properly and that the bearer's skills (marksmanship) are maximized so as to hit only what you shoot at...
Also, IMHO, having read all the way to the end of the former Constitution, "well regulated" can also mean tyrants must be in your sights in order to restore some semblance of the former Republic...

Well that’s simply not what “well regulated” meant at the time of the founding. “Put in good order” requires more than just maintenance of the firearm. You mind and body must also be “in good order.”
