Just wondering if anyone has current legal information.
Why not? Unvaccinated is not a protected class.
So interesting...thx for this expository post
Future employers can, and do, ask if you have a disability. HIV is one of the conditions included under disability.
You don't have to name the disability, but you have to advise you have one.
A new hire has to take a piz quiz to prove they are drug free.
No one bats an eye
It’s not much of a jump to a vaccine quiz
many thanks !!!!
it’s a can of worms to ask what is potentially a disability related question as part of pre-e ploy, set screening. the worms that are now crawling around are the business necessity of the requirement, and any accommodations that the employee may be entitled to.
someone in HR in that company needs to be fired.
Can you please do a quick Summary for Dummies (eg ME!) of your valuable post?
interesting .......so much conflicting information out there...Perhaps that is the point
This is an experimental drug I don’t THINK they can force an experimental drug on ANYONE!! IF the FDA decides to OK this vaccine THEN the Pharma companies can be held responsible for repercussions from the vaccine!! Don’t look for the FDA to do that anytime soon they are in bed with BIG Pharma!!!
Of course a private company can require this. It is the definition of private agreement. The company doesnt have to hire a person who is not vaccinated, and an unvaccinated person is free to seek employment from an employer who does not require vaccination. Simple.
HIPAA is a law that requires certain entities do not disclose protected information. It does not extend to employers as HIPAA applies unidirectionally from a health care entity or provider. Has nothing to do with employment
No. It is a violation of federal law to require people to be vaccinated since none of them are FDA approved and only authorized for experimental purposes.
Just an aside but regarding your Vietnam service, there are a huge amount of pictures of the 6/32 FA in Vietnam on FB under Big Guns of the Vietnam War. FYI

“When I was turned down for a job because I wouldn’t get the vacx, I consulted a labor lawyer who told me a private company has the right in a right-to-work state. A publicly traded company in a right-to-work state may not but she wasn’t sure.
She said a publicly traded company may not have that right in a state where the legislature or governor banned it.”
So, it comes down to whether the company has stock traded on a stock exchange.
And whether the state is right-to-work or one whose legislature or gov banned vax mandates; in the former case its iffy, but in the latter case its certain.
I’m thinking of the place from which I retired; company has plants in states that are right-to-work as well as in those whose gov or legislature banned mandatory shots.
What’s a piz quiz? I work in an HR-related area and never heard of one.
Last I heard, courts ruled that unlike Governments or manufacturers of the “vaccines”, employers CAN be sued for forcing employees to be vaccinated if something goes wrong.
The point is no one is forcing anything. A company in an at will state is free to not hire someone, an employee is free to look for employment elsewhere. It is not forced. No employer owes a living to an employee
Anything short of this would be quite consistent with the left’s idea of employment.
I believe a piz quiz is a nice way of saying pre-employment urine drug screen.
the answer is N/A
How would they know?
Say N/A
I’ve had all my vaccines and the documentation is in my file. My medical file
