The France that was, is not the France that is.

The second part is still the France that is. Macron says that French values and traditions are not up for negotiation. When Trump saw the Bastille Day Parade and the pride that real Frenchman took in seeing their nation’s military on display in Paris, he thought it might be a nice tradition to have here in our capital. He, of course, was instantly denounced by all ‘right-thinking’ people as a wannabe dictator

Imagine showing pride in one’s country! I’m sure you’ve scanned today’s posts with the likes of Congresswomen denouncing the Declaration of Independence, the holiday that commemorates it, the Statue of Liberty, our flag, national anthem, etc. I am not a jingoist, but I’m getting tired of it all.
