In 1776 97% of the population lived in rural areas. Almost all of them were self sufficient farmers who were their own boss.
Today only 2% of Americans are farmers. Everyone else is in the constant pursuit of dollars just to survive.
This is the most salient point of this land at the time of the American Revolution.
People could take a stand with little or no concern for "wokism" because at the end of the day, a man could feed his family on a farm; during a difficult time (a crop failure, for example), he could rely on his neighbors, who he would be helping when they faced their own difficulties.
The problem today is that we've all been assimilated into the Borg and are forced to toe the party line for the simple reason that most of us can't provide for ourselves; we need either the salary or the customer base to survive, and we must behave accordingly.
The entire march of Socialism has been carried out in the hands of the RE-distributionist anti-personal independence, and anti-freedom “Progressives”.
Government Leftist Tyranny which drove self-sufficient people off of their farms, drove their businesses into bankruptcy (by fiat regulations carried out by govt. directed agencies). This includes, in the case of the large family owned rural independent farmers-— taking their sons (and daughters eventually) off the land and into foreign globalist wars, and killing off the inheritors.
All driven by an overwhelming central government which was anathema to the Founders (except Hamilton and his Central Bankers with their lines of “credit” created by putting the entire Nation into debt to foreign creditors). This being- the eventual renamed (in 1913) “Federal” Reserve Bank- a private bank chartered to Congress which controls our currency.
