A friend and native Ghanaian makes frequent visits here from his home country.
He doesn’t have a good thing to say about African Americans. I try to talk him out of it. The “vicious cycle of poverty” argument falls short for some reason. Maybe it’s the rich set of opportunity here and its sharp contrast to scratching a life out of dry ground.

Ditto for my friends from Nigeria. Most of the people I’ve met from Africa are great people, who worked hard to come here.
