I had similar surgery ten years ago, it’s not that bad. They took out 18 inches of my colon thru a small incision by the belly button. You go home after your first bowel movement.

18 inches ? Crohn’s?
My wife had 14 taken out in an emergency surgery. Didn’t go as smoothly but she’s alive.
