Raucous England fans are in dreamland waiting for Wednesday's next Three Lions clash against Denmark, buoyed by the team's flawless performance last night in the Euro 2020 quarter-final.

The Danes are all that stands between them and the tournament's final and an incredible boost for a country that has been ravaged by coronavirus and endless lockdowns.

Beers were sent flying through the air and one fan even stripped off to his St George's Cross underwear as revellers went wild at big screen events from London to Newcastle watching the Three Lions destroy Ukraine 4-0 and secure a glorious return to the capital in front 60,000 fans for Wednesday's semi-final.

I’m sure England is much happier to be playing Denmark instead of Italy or Spain.

So the European stadiums are now filled? How about the Coronavirus? No fear of the fast spreading Delta Variant? 😱

Ok. They’ve waited “25 years for this”. What happens next? You go back home and get back into your routine. Go to work, raise your family etc. No increase in pay, no trophy for your mantle.

I’ve never understood the excitement in winning any sport you didn’t actually win yourself.

Twickenham Stadium allowed 10,000 in to watch the Premiership Rugby Championship last weekend. The limit looked to me to be absurd since the top part of the stadium was completely empty.

50% capacity at Wembley. About a month ago Granada played Manchester United in what was their highest profile game in decades. No fans were allowed in. Granada got shut out anyway. The final at Wimbledon will be the first sporting event allowing a full capacity crowd since the start of the pandemic.
