FN Maria Bartiromo some weeks back had guests knowledgeable of drug industry who indicated the following. The patent(s) on Merck’s Ivermectin had expired, so not as much government money to be made in making Ivermectin to save everybody from CV19.

Merck is developing an oral anti-Covid drug similar to Ivermectin they call Molnupiravir. It is currently in Phase III testing.
You can make conclusions from this.
