No. Even tho my church won’t let me sing in the church choir until I get one, or for that matter, attend church w/o mask w/o one, and hell, even if I wear a mask, I can’t sing.
I’ve run the numbers. At age 59, I have about the same chance of getting COVID with or without the shot, and about the same chance of dying (of COVID) either way. It doesn’t stop me from getting the disease, doesn’t stop me from passing it along. I don’t see the reason.
My friend, a 60 year old male. Good health, avid golfer.
He walks the course, no caddy, 3 times a week. Not over weight.
He had his second shot over a month ago.
Last Thursday he was diagnosed with covid.
My wife’s friends daughter, that is 35 years old.
One week after second shot. She is in hospital, low platelet count.
Have you run the numbers on hospitalization or long term issues as many have experienced? I doubt it.
And, by the way, the vaccines do show a serious reduction in the disease through the population.
Two good examples are Ontario and Michigan. Both the province and the state were under huge third waves of the British varriant earlier this year. The ICUs in the hospital system in Ontario became overloaded with Covid cases and ICU system broke down in the Toronto area.
With huge numbers getting vaccinated, the rate of spread has dropped dramatically and the hospital system has recovered.
I made sure to get vaccinated and there is nothing wrong with it.
Honestly, I don’t see the reason why you and so many on this board cheer on the virus and hope to see more hospitalizations and death.
