There’s a show called “Air Disasters” and in two of the episodes the pilots responded to the loss of an engine by shutting down the working one.
Not saying that’s what happened here.
Could be even a little more skeptical and ask what was the total insured value of the plane, cargo and the likelihood that well trained pilots could could safely extricate themselves from such a situation. That would be more like a Hawaii 5-0 script than a real life near tragedy.

I love that show, I watch it all the time. Growing up, I wanted to be an air accident investigator - it has always fascinated me. But, unfortunately, the cards weren’t in it for me.
