He is not just defending her; he said that she should be awarded a medal because he thought this crash which resulted in what could be career ending injuries for some was funny. It is just another example of someone who does not seem to realize that making idiotic and indefensible statements about one situation causes others to question their point of view about other situations. The person we are speaking of has a long history of making what he seems to believe are witty comments, but which tend to lower the level of discourse here. In other words he neatens up his eye brows with hedge trimmers... Just Sayin’.
