Anyone here into fat and plus size tire bikes? I ride a salsa timberjack in 27.5+. I normally run 3.0s which are my all around tire. Since I only own 1 bike it has to do it all…road, single/dbl track and the beach.

I run 27.5 x 2.8” Maxxis Rekons on my hardtail which I really like. Running tubeless I can drop the pressure down to 12 PSI in the from and 14 PSI in the rear for an amazingly plush ride, for a hardtail. The lower pressure allows the tires to conform to the terrain.
The right tire depends a lot on your local terrain, plus your personal preference. In the greater northeast, we’ve got rocky soil, roots, mud, and hard pack. For me the Rekons work great. They hang up well on rocks but have fairly low rolling resistance.
