This is a real truth they sincerely hate.

Armed citizens defeated the worlds most effective armed forces led by a totalitarian tyrant.

They were not a standing army or regular army.

They were regular men. Men with weapons.

And the socialists/totalitarians fear armed citizenry because whatthey want to do is often horrible things mot would not do, and would seek to off said tyrants once people knew who they were.

The proof is, if tyrants and totalitarians had good ideas and loved the people, they wouldnt be considered tyrants and would have no need to disarm the people, they would willingly embrace their ideas and policies. They would volunteer to implement the policies. There would be no talk of gulags and political prisoners and re-education and such.

I don’t know that George III would be called a ‘totalitarian tyrant’. He certainly had more influence over his governments that Elizabeth II, but England was pretty much ruled by Parliament.

That’s what riled the Americans so much. They were Englishmen by God and deserved to be treated as Englishmen! You know, with rights and representation in Parliament. Of course once the Regulars were fired upon and killed at Lexington/Concord any real hope of reconciliation was pretty much gone. George III certainly through his influenced towards the “the Americans must be punished” faction in Parliament.

But we, indeed, with French help, did defeat the world’s best.
