Well, that's my challenge. I'm a contractor for a gov't agency, and once you pass checkpoint at the entrance, personal weapons are forbidden, even if they're secured in the car. Once I got my LTC, I asked one of the agency policeman whether I'm allowed to take my gun off and secure it in the car after I park. He said no; he told me that even the agency police force are forbidden to have their personal weapons in their cars.
If I get on a contract where I'm in a SCIF outside of a checkpoint, then I can just put my gun in my car safe and go to work. But for the time being I'm checkpoint-bound and have to leave my gun at home M-F.
Once I get home Friday nights, though...
Once I'm done for the day, I have a pocket pistol I carry. The bride also has her CCW but I can't convince her to carry every day, or when she goes out. She's a revolver fan, and even the smallish pieces are still quite bulky for her small frame.
If we actually lived in a free country, any organization that required you to disarm yourself would have strict, and full liability for your safety. For most businesses, the insurance costs alone would cause them to drop those insane policies.
Here in TX, courts have ruled that they cannot ban you from carrying in your car, even if you park on their property.
Just leave your car parked right in front of the checkpoint.
Problem solved! /s
