Andy Murray tonight delighted scores of fans at Wimbledon with a logic-defying four-hour comeback win.

The three-time Grand Slam winner secured his victory in the Men's Singles Second Round against German opponent Oscar Otte, making an astonishing recovery to take three sets following a tense and tumultuous fight.

The Germans can't catch a break against the Brits this week. It's good to see that the British are allowed to watch sports in person this summer. The lockdown and quarantine rules there have been harsh.

So how was logic defied day in this win? Hard fought? Yes. But I have no idea what the headline writer is talking about.

He has had a lot of injuries and has dropped down in the ranks of the best players. I think it was believed that his championship days were over.

Serena Williams got an ankle injury and didn’t make it out of the first round at Wimbledon this year. The champs get older and their bodies start rebelling, although Andy is younger than Serena.

Yes, the report is weak, but Mr. Murray’s career had been on the ropes for the last 4 or 5 years or so. At one point, he had even dropped out of the top 800 players, so for him to stage a late-career comeback like this is indeed remarkable.
