I miss Rush. His replacements are weak. Mark Steyn would have been my choice

I liked Ken Matthews and Todd Herman with Rushisms thrown in. Sexton and the other guy ain’t gonna cut it for me.......I listened to about 15 minutes the other day....nope!

I would like Mark to have his own show. He could anchor three-hours in Rush’s old slot and draw a nation-wide audience of listeners, easy. Right now, two experienced broadcasters are in Rush’s slot and they still aren’t his equal.

Both Rush knew and Mark knows “where the ball would be” politically and called it. Everyone else is still commenting on the direction of travel. Not where it all leads to. They have the rare gift of being able to share that knowledge in both a serious yet entertaining way.

And I love it when people who were born elsewhere champion the freedoms of America. Mark knows at least how parliamentary politics work in Britain and Canada and all their problems. Little things that help to make him stand out.

But I get that some don’t like Steyn for that very reason.

Finally, I think Steyn wants to put his own stamp on US media. His own show, done his way, without the EIB behind him to direct him, however lightly. I don’t think he’d be happy being called “Rush’s permanent guest host.”

...Just my opinion!

I couldn't agree more.
