Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to just hit it out of the park with conservatives across America, and barring whether or not the 45th President runs or not, he’s the front runner to be the GOP nominee, or Trump’s Vice President, there’s little doubt anymore. He’ll be one or the other, hands down.
On Tuesday he signed a bill requiring high school students to learn about the “evils of communism and totalitarian ideologies.” A brilliant move as the liberal indoctrination of students from the racist Teachers Union is the biggest threat facing America outside of election fraud.
During a press conference at Three Oaks Middle School in Fort Myers, Florida, DeSantis signed three education bills designed to foster civic literacy in schools.
“It’s crucial to ensure that we teach our students how to be responsible citizens,” DeSantis said during the press conference. “They need to have a good working knowledge of American history, American government and the principles that underline our Constitution and Bill of Rights.”
Florida HB 5 adds a requirement to the high school government curriculum that students be taught the “evils of communism and totalitarian ideologies.”
“We have a number of people in Florida, particularly southern Florida, who’ve escaped totalitarian regimes, who’ve escaped communist dictatorships to be able to come to America. We want all students to understand the difference, why would somebody flee across shark-infested waters, say leaving from Cuba to come to southern Florida. Why would somebody leave a place like Vietnam? Why would people leave these countries and risk their life to be able to come here. It’s important students understand that,” DeSantis said.

Florida public schools may soon observe a “Victims of Communism Day” under a bill approved Wednesday by the House.
Sponsored by Republican Rep. David Borrero of Sweetwater, the bill (HB 1553) would designate Nov. 7 in Florida as “Victims of Communism Day.”
“Throughout history, communism has proved that it is riddled with bloodshed and the deprivation of so many lives,” Borrero said.
The proposal also calls on high schools to teach students about communist dictators and the experience of communism victims.
The instruction, which would become a high school graduation requirement, is required to be at least 45 minutes long.

HS students should learn about the Constitution and the evils of Communism/socialism/Bidenism will automatically be exposed for all to understand.
We had a quarter in Sr Civics in Fl in the 70’s.
AVC - Americanism vs Communism, along with a quarter on economics that included personal finance,investing and the stock market. as well as a quarter on general political science, and a final quarter that was writing basically a college level research paper on any topic that was based on subject matter presented during the year. Every Friday we had to turn in an analysis of a newspaper article related to the weeks class. Every Monday several class members had to present their article and be prepared to take questions on their analysis. My question is why Florida stopped doing this to begin with. Ohhh yes, national curriculum standards that were lower than the standards we were taught to. I
